Since it was a mystery novel, the drama was supplied by the murders which occurred (no teens were injured) and the solving of same by Temple Barr and Midnight Louie, her cat. Written by our own Carole Nelson Douglas, who resides Right Here in Fort Worth, "Cat in a Hot Pink Pursuit" is the book, and the entire series is a hoot. I did not realize Miss America had been turned into an easily parodied reality show. I hope you are correct about the 'drama', and snarkiness being the reason for early attention being paid. As a judge for the Miss Teen Southlke on Saturday night and someone who has been involved in the Miss Texas/America Sholarship Organization for over 30 years, I saw two of the most remarkable young women receive their titles! Brittany is beautiful, poised, talented, and dynamic. Amy Cristiani is one of the most together 16 year olds I have ever seen. She is also a beautiful, articulate, poised, insightful, intelligent, mature and focused young woman. As always, it was both a privilege and pleasure to work with the MSSO and Heather Bruce and her board and the wonderful people of Southlake, Texas! God bless and on to Miss Texas and Miss America.
