Cowboy Horses Around for Fundraiser
Cowboy fans of all types will want to be at Eddie Deen’s Ranch in Dallas on March 5th for the Saddles in the City Gala.
Those who like football-playing Cowboys will be happy to learn former Dallas Cowboy fullback Walt Garrison will be there as honorary chair. Those cowboys who prefer horses will be happy to raise money for The Texas Horse Park, an equestrian center currently under development south of downtown Dallas.
Guests can expect barbecue, boot scootin’ and auctions as big as Texas. Auction items will include a half-Arabian hunter pleasure gelding, dinner for eight at Garrison’s ranch, custom Cowboy boots, fine art and luxurious jewelry.
Tickets cost $100 per person, with proceeds benefiting the 600-acre equestrian facility which will be a part of the Trinity River Project. Reservations can be made by contacting 214-269-5699 or by visiting the Web site at www.texashorsepark.com.

You know, Walt Garrison was a real cowboy, and OSU Cowboy and a Dallas Cowboy. I wonder if it is true but I always understood that his signing bonus with Dallas was a new horse trailer.
I love it when a Sooner brags on a Cowboy.
