Spring for Some Daffodils By Friday
This warmer weather is making me think of spring. Spring makes me think of flowers.
Love daffodils. Maybe because they’re some of the first flowers to bloom in the spring or maybe it’s the color. Maybe both.
I do want you to know about Daffodil Days. One of the American Cancer Society’s oldest fundraising efforts, Daffodil Days supports cancer services, programs, research and education. (www.cancer.org)
Sherry Purdom, who you can contact by calling her at 817-570-0633 or emailing her at Sherry.Purdom@cancer.org, serves as the local coordinator of this happy project. Suggested donations start at $10 for an individual bouquet and range up to a corporate case of 500 flowers for $500.
Hurry, though, while the weather is warm and you’re thinking about spring. Orders are due Friday, and they will be delivered the week of March 9.

Walt was an OKLAHOMA Cowboy before he was an Texas Cowboy. I can remember in the late 60’s when my OSU college roommate would “moon” over pictures of Walt. One year she found someone to drive her to Oklahoma City to watch him ride in the OKC rodeo at the state fair grounds. Wonder if I can get her to drive down from Oklahoma and see me and see WALT too? Wonder what her hubby would say?
