Kallie Frances Karper Weds Justin Louis Pitcock

Kallie Frances Karper and Lt. Justin Louis Pitcock were married July 25, 2009 at 6:30 p.m. in the sanctuary of the First United Methodist Church of Graham, TX.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. And Mrs. John Philip Karper, and the groom is the son of Mr. And Mrs. Louis Pitcock, III, all of Graham.
The bride’s maternal grandparents are Mrs. William Newell Beach and the late William Beach of Midland. Her paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Karper of Graham and the late Frances Ford Karper. The groom’s paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Louis Pitcock, Jr. of Graham and his maternal grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Meredith R. Carb, Jr. of Fort Worth.
The Rev. Joseph Sherrard, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, Starkville, MS officiated. Traditional Christian selections of music, including “I Love to Tell the Story,” “Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing” and “Amazing Grace” were provided by pianist Carol Glover and classical guitarist Bruce Canafax before and during the ceremony. Ms Glover accompanied saxophonist Robert Pitcock as he played “The Lord’s Prayer” and for the congregational singing of “How Great Thou Art.” The recessional, “The Marine Hymn,” concluded the ceremony with the traditional arch of swords, meant to ensure the couple’s safe transition into their new life together.
The bride, given in marriage by her parents and escorted to the altar by her father, wore an original gown of silk shantung with pleated bodice accented at the waist with a jeweled belt of Swarovski crystals and pearls. A floor-length veil of silk illusion completed her bridal ensemble, and she carried a bouquet of white roses, hydrangeas, fursia, willow and greenery.
Miss Rebecca Kate Karper, sister of the bride and a Dallas resident, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Emily Anne Skipper, Shannon Renae Albritton, Kelly Elizabeth Albritton, Caitlin Jazz Hobson, Christen Todd Tipton, Lauren Tucker Trammell, Anna Elizabeth Herzog, Brittany Elizabeth Allen and Meredith Ann Pitcock, sister of groom. Attendants included Hutton Inness Hinson, cousin of the bride; Mary Ashley Anderson; Angela Megan Pace; Meagan Leigh Bishop Gilliam; Morgan Giles Johnson; Michelle Wommack, cousin of the bride; and Lanier Wright Clark. They all wore floor-length dresses of champagne silk shantung with V-necklines, and they carried bouquets of jewel-toned flowers.
Dalton Carb Pitcock was his brother’s best man. Groomsmen included Aaron Kyle Polanco, Dustin Ryan Deen, David Warren Fickle, the bride’s brother William Kent Karper, Payton Michael Lumpkin, Michael Nathan McDowell, Michael James Forster, Thomas Nathan Allen, Austin Michael Hawkins, and Brian Francis Scott. Ushers were Braeden Dwight William Mayes, Tyler Bryce Mayo, Eric Alan Walraven, Daniel Clayton Kilpatrick, Jason Alan May, Harold Michael Schupach, and Steven Louis Ritter.
The flower girls were Anna Grace Doggett, Starkville, and the groom’s cousin Mia Grace Heartfield, of Brock. They were attired in floor-length Victorian ivory dresses, wore wreaths in their hair and carried baskets of rose petals.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents were hosts for a reception and buffet supper at Wildcatter Ranch and Resort where flowers in jewel tones decorated tables throughout the reception area. Tables were covered with champagne cloths, and guests enjoyed dancing at the reception. The bride’s cake was a multi-tiered confection, and the groom’s chocolate cake featured the Marine insignia.
The bride graduated from Graham High School and from the University of Mississippi in Oxford, with a bachelor of science degree in special education. She holds a master of science degree in school psychology from Mississippi State University. The bride was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. The groom is a graduate of Texas A & M University with a bachelor of business administration in finance, and he was a member of Phi Delta Theta. He is in the United States Marine Corp, currently stationed at USMC Air Station, Miramar, CA, where he flies the CH-46 Battle Phrog.
Following a honeymoon at the family ranches in Creede, CO and the Big Bend National Park, Texas, Lt. and Mrs. Pitcock are at home in La Jolla, CA.
