The Grapevine Chapter of American Business Clubs (AMBUCS) is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a special fundraising event June 27-28: The AmTryke Trailblazer & 11th Annual Golf Tournament. Supporting its mission of â€œcreating mobility and independence for people with disabilities,â€ all proceeds will go to the purchase of AmTrykeÂ® therapeutic tricycles, physical therapy scholarships, building wheelchair ramps and other community service projects.Â
The Trailblazer kicks-off the two-day event on Sunday, June 27th from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Austin Ranch in Grapevine. Special guest is Rich Behm, Dallas Cowboys scouting assistant and Â AmTryke recipient (Behm was paralyzed in the collapse of the structure at the Dallas Cowboysâ€™ practice facility in 2009). In addition, AmTrykes will be presented to local children the evening.Â
The action-packed Trailblazer promises a good time with live entertainment by the Walton Stout Band. Â Â Two auctions will be available.Â A silent with over 100 items for both men and ladies and a live which will include items such as golf outings, fishing trips, an African safari, hotel and spa packages.Â Additionally there will be a Wine pull, putting contest and long-drive contest.Â
The dinner menu includes barbecue beef sliders, mashed potato bar, Texas caviar, salads and cobblers.Â There is also a cash bar, so donâ€™t forget your wallet.Â Â
Trailblazer tickets are $50 per person (each registered player in the golf tournament receives two complimentary tickets) and may be purchased online or at the Bank of the West in Grapevine, Legacy Bank in Grapevine, Northstar Bank in Colleyvilleor Sovereign Bank in Southlake.Â
Grapevine AMBUCS will host its 11th Annual Charity Golf Tournament on Monday, June 28 at Grapevine Municipal Golf Course. The four-man Florida scramble tournament begins with an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start and concludes with lunch and awards presentation. Golf teams are $800.00 and individual players are $200.00 (includes two Trailblazer tickets per player).Â
