by Joy Donovan on August 5, 2010

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Fort Worth and Arlington again have teamed up for the 11th Annual Boxing at the Ballroom Gala & Auction, set for Aug.  27  in the Grand Ballroom of the Renaissance Worthington Hotel, Fort Worth.

All proceeds benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tarrant County. The non-profit organization aids disadvantaged youth in the area.

The event will begin with a cocktail hour at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m. and boxing at 8 p.m. The evening’s highlight will be professional boxing presented by Paulie Ayala and Paulie Ayala Productions. Also included will be fine dining, spirits, fresh rolled cigars on the terrace, special guests and auctions. Serving as master of ceremonies will be John Rhadigan from Fox Sports.

This year’s event will feature five bouts of professional boxing, including a female match, and one lucky attendee will win $5,000 in cash for playing “Knock-Out!”

“Boxing at the Ballroom has become a premiere Fort Worth event,” said Andy Laudato, 2010 event co-chair and senior vice president and CIO of Pier 1 Imports, “and we’re grateful for the support of our generous sponsors, professional boxers, guests and volunteers who help make it possible for the Boys and Girls Clubs to serve the youth in our communities.”

Working with Laudato will be his co-chair, Steve Hambrick of PlainsCapital Bank.
