Dallas Cowboys greats Roger Staubach, Troy Aikman  and Daryl Johnston have huddled up to serve as honorary co-chairs for the 23rd Annual Beyond the Rainbow Luncheon and Fashion Show, set for April 15 in the Chantilly Ballroom of the Hilton Anatole Hotel.

The event, benefiting Children’s Cancer Fund (CCF), will sport the theme “Kings and Queens Full of Hopes and Dreams.” Luncheon co-chairs Amy Maurer and Summer Olmstead, along with a lineup of local celebrities, will present 38 young cancer patients and numerous pediatric cancer survivors in a special runway show, sponsored by Dillard’s.

KDFW FOX 4 news anchors Steve Eagar and Clarice Tinsley will serve as master and mistress of ceremonies at the event. Other local personalities will act as runway escorts for the Children’s Medical Center patients modeling in this year’s fashion show. Among them will be former Dallas Cowboys Drew Pearson and Tony Dorsett; Miss Texas, Ashley Melnick; Jason Castro, American Idolfinalist;  Dallas Mayor Dwaine Caraway; and former Texas Ranger Jeff Russell.

Tickets for the “Beyond the Rainbow” Luncheon and Fashion Show are $150 each or $1,250 per table of 10.  Reservations and more information are available by contacting Children’s Cancer Fund at 972-664-1450 or at www.ChildrensCancerFund.net.

Proceeds from the event will go to Children’s Cancer Fund to help advance pediatric cancer research and treatment programs at Children’s Medical Center and UT Southwestern Medical Center.  Since its inception in 1982, Children’s Cancer Fund has donated more than $7 million to childhood cancer research.

The fund created  Children’s Cancer Fund Reflection Book for this year’s luncheon.  The book, to be sold for $16, will include photos of the children, honorary chairs and physicians plus original artwork by the cancer patients.
