FORT WORTH _ A Dinner Party for Life, a combined fundraising effort from Texas Toast Culinary Tours and Cuisine for Healing, is planned for 5 to 8 p.m.  July 24 at Artspace 111.
The charity event will benefit Cuisine for Healing, a nonprofit organization dedicated to making nutritious, delicious food readily available to cancer patients and others combating disease.
The evening will include a six-course meal and wine pairings. Each course will be prepared by one of six Fort Worth-area chefs. Cooking will be Asdren Azemi, Ruffino’s Restaurant; Jon Bonnell, Bonnell’s Fine Texas Cuisine; Gwin Grimes, Artisan Baking Co.; Jerrett Joslin, The Wild Mushroom; Lanny Lancarte II, Lanny’s Alta Cocina Mexicana; and Brian Olenjack, Olenjack’s Grille.
Rosie Moncrief, wife of Fort Worth Mayor Mike Moncrief, will serve as the honorary chairperson, and live music entertainment will be among the evening’s festivities.
“We are excited to partner with Texas Toast Culinary Tours and look forward to this incredible event, organized to help fuel the important work of Cuisine for Healing’s Outreach Food Program,†said Sue Austin, president of Cuisine for Healing. “Healthy food is a key weapon in the battle against cancer, and yet, at a time when it’s more important than ever to eat healthy, many cancer patients simply do not have access to the kind of food they need, let alone the energy or ability to shop and prepare healthy meals. Funds from this event will help us feed more cancer patients in need in our community.â€
Tickets to A Dinner Party for Life will cost $100 each, and may be purchased online at www.texastoastculinarytours.com.
