Couple Weds in New Year’s Eve Ceremony
Allison Ann Beall and Mark William Chandler were united in marriage Dec. 31, 2009 at half past seven o’clock in the evening at First United Methodist Church of Hurst.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Beall of Colleyville. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fallis Beall and Mr. and Mrs. John E. (Buddy) Campbell and the great- granddaughter of Mrs. Richard Stokes, all of Duncan, Oklahoma. The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Gary Chandler of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and is the grandson of Mrs. Betty Sue Chandler of Broken Arrow and Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Olson of Oklahoma City.
Dr. Michael McKee officiated and Claire Bonney Campbell, cousin of the bride, read scripture. Music was provided by organist Dong-ill Shin and soloist Gregory Kuenning, uncle of the groom.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a gown of ivory silk taffeta designed by Kenneth Pool for Stanley Korshack. The strapless silhouette was fashioned with a fitted bodice and the full double-flounced skirt fell from a dramatically dropped waist. Bands of silver Swarovski crystals embroidered the empire waist, hip line, skirt and the cathedral length train. To complete her ensemble, she wore a comb of crystals and a sheer twinkling veil which framed her face and swept beyond her train. She carried a bouquet of all tones of red roses, red amaryllis, ilex berries and maroon callas. A lace handkerchief and crystal brooch belonging to her two maternal great- grandmothers were incorporated into the bouquet.
A reception followed at the Fort Worth Club where guests dined, danced to the music of Bullet Proof Brass Band and rang in the New Year. On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Los Vaqueros.
Michelle Angela Bennett of Colleyville served as maid of honor, and matron of honor was Tatianna Cannon Proctor of Norman, Oklahoma. Bridesmaids were Carrie Elizabeth Chandler, sister of the groom, of Broken Arrow; Kristen Michelle Collins of Talala; Rachel Meredith Head of Bedford, TX; Lauren Ashley Jarrell, Kendall Elizabeth Kirkham, and Katherine McKinney Wilson all of Dallas. TX. They wore full-length Lela Rose dresses of claret crinkle chiffon with hand worked rosettes at the scooped neckline and carried bouquets of red hydrangea, red and pink roses, and red cymbidium orchids. Members of the house party included Claire Bonney Campbell of Duncan, Jordan Kaye Geurkink , Sheridan Samples Haynes and Carissa Marquis King all of Norman. Candle lighters were Sarah Elizabeth Campbell and Caroline Virginia Campbell, cousins of the bride, of Denver, Colorado.
The groom’s best man was Mark Wesley Oxen of Norman. Groomsmen were James Patrick Anderson and Chesterfield Dillard Featherston IV both of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Logan Robert Beall, brother of the bride, of Colleyville, TX; Daniel Kyle Charboneau and Charles Brandon Maloy both of Ada, Oklahoma; William Blake Petty of Arlington, TX; and Robert Hewitt Wharton of Norman, OK. Ushers were Tyler Wade Armstrong of Oklahoma City, John Carter Denman of Lufkin, Cameron Joseph Dunn of Paris, Zach Landon Payne of Dallas, and Neil Casey Singmaster of Perry.
The bride is a graduate of The University of Oklahoma where she received a bachelor of arts degree in journalism and was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. She currently is attending the OU College of Law. The groom graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor of science degree in zoology and biomedical sciences and was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He is a medical student at OU’s College of Medicine in Oklahoma City.
The couple will honeymoon in Dallas and later this spring in Maui, Hawaii. They will reside in Norman, Oklahoma.
