It’s Fashion Show weekend in north central Texas, with two women’s clubs hosting back-to-back events.

Both the Colleyville Woman’s Club and the Greater Keller Women’s Club will both sponsor luncheon style shows, with proceeds helping local charities.

“Lunch with the Girlz,” the Colleyville Woman’s Club’s 27th annual luncheon, is set for Friday at the Hurst Conference Center. Doors open at 9:30 for the silent auction, and the luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m. Four Dallas designers–Elizabeth Anyaa, Nha Khanh, Shemara Couture and Geoffrey Henning–will showcase their designs.

Then Saturday, the Greater Keller Women’s Club will present “Puttin’ on the Glitz,” a luncheon event benefiting the club’s foundation which awards grants and scholarships to local charities. Dillard’s will provide the fashions, and the day includes auctions and a raffle. Doors open at 10 a.m., with the luncheon set for noon.

Honoring Chris and Curtis Wells, owners of The Classic Cafe in Roanoke, with the second annual LINK Award will highlight the sixth annual Metroport Meals on Wheels fall fashion show and luncheon, scheduled for Sept. 30 at Marriott Solana, Westlake.

The award, which stands for Leadership, Inspiration, Nurturing Spirit and Kindness, will be given to the brothers for their support to Metroport Meals on Wheels (www.metroportmow.org).

The event will begin at 10 a.m. with a shopping bazaar. Lunch and the fashion show, featuring fashions from Doncaster Private Collection, David Hunt Furs and Brooks Brothers, will follow.

Berry Good Buys, SafeHaven of Tarrant County’s resale shop, will hold a fashion show at 2 p.m. Jan. 22 to showcase the high-end clothing finds at the Fort Worth shop, 1701 W. Berry St.

Community models will walk the runway in the store’s “Berry Chic Boutique” section, and attendees will have the chance to purchase the outfits following the show. The $5 donation includes refreshments, and all proceeds will benefit the women and children seeking shelter from violent homes at SafeHaven of Tarrant County.

SafeHaven of Tarrant County is a nonprofit organization that exists to end family violence through safety, support, prevention and social change. SafeHaven’s two emergency shelters, one in Arlington and one in Fort Worth, accommodate a combined 174 women and children, making SHTC one of the largest shelters in Texas.

The Colleyville Woman’s Club 25th Annual Luncheon and Fashion Show Benefit, this year entitled “Rhythm and Hues,” has been set for March 26 at the Hyatt Regency DFW Hotel.

Saks Fifth Avenue at the Dallas Galleria will once again combine with Jan Strimple Productions for the event featuring emcee Scott Murray. Doors will open at 9:30 a.m. for the charitable event’s live, silent and big board auctions.

Tables for 10 with premier runway seating cost $1,500, and platinum tables with premium seating are $1,250. Gold tables are $1000, and individual tickets are also available.
